Easter Nails | Tutorial

Hello everyone! When something seasonal/an occasion pops up, I always try to do a nail art design to match. So, here is another nail art tutorial especially for Easter time!
(Also, this is a 2 in one tutorial for Ombré nails!)

The colours you may want will be:

Left To Right:
Pink: O.P.I. 'Japanese Rose Garden'.     Pastel Blue: Angelica 'Ice Queen'.    Yellow: Miss Sporty 'Popcorn'.   White: Natural Collection 'Nail Tip Whitener'.   Black: Rimmel London 'Black Out'.     Mint Green: H&M (Doesn't have a name).     Purple: Beauty UK 'Soft Lilac' (No. 41).

The clear, and I guess helpful polishes:

O.P.I Top Coat, O.P.I Natural Nail Base Coat & Sally Hansen Advanced Hard As Nails.

 Nail Tools and things:

Randomly:
Make up sponge, scissors, nail art dotting tools, tweezers, toothpicks, cotton buds/ q-tips & nail polish remover.

1ST STEP:
I'm sorry I don't have a picture, but just simply paint your thumb and accent nail with this pale blue, and then the rest with this white!

2ND STEP!! OMBRÉ NAILS!!!

Get yourself the make up sponge, scissors, tweezers and the following nail polishes!⇩

With your make up sponge, cut out a chunk which is big enough for your nail to fit. This doesn't have to be a perfect size, a bit bigger is much better than a bit smaller.

Now it's time to do the ombré effect! Paint a generous layer of your range of colours in a row, next to each other. It's essential that you don't put too little, because the polish sinks into the sponge fairly quickly anyway so having lots is needed!

Grab your tweezers and pinch them on the back of your sponge so it's easier to hold, then pat on well your colour! Your colour builds up a bit better if you keep patting it.

It gives this awesome ray of soft pastel colours without harsh lines! I love this look for this (very gloomy) springtime.

STEP 3! BUNNIES!!
For the details of your bunny, you will need these colours

I haven't actually got any shots of me doing this, but the way to do this is to:
1:  Draw a white 'V' kind of popping out of the bottom of your nail for the ears. You can either use a dotting tool or a toothpick. Do a semi circle at the bottom of this v, to make the head of the bunny!
2:  Get your pink, and do an ultra small line in your ears. This gives the cool cartoon effect of bunny ears! Try to keep this in between the white 'V'.
3:  Finally, use your black and dot on some tiny eyes and whiskers. I could have done mine a bit neater but hey, it's done haha.
That's everything!
Here are the finished nails. Add a top coat on at the end to seal in your cute design and then it will also stay longer!

Thank you for reading, comment for questions and I hope you have a happy easter!

Dry Skin Care! | Products & Routine

Hello everyone, I haven't posted in nearly a week, I'm really sorry! Today I'm showing you my current/dry skin care products, even though it is spring now(yay)! My skin is in a good place at the moment... Still dry, but it isn't staying flaky in the day anymore and the products I'm using are really good for me!

First, here are my normal day & night creams:

Boots Vitamin E Day & Night Creams: There isn't much to say really, but all I know is that they moisturise and keep my face hydrated all day & night long! They aren't really oily at all and don't leave the shiniest face in the world for me to cover. It's a cheaper option to things like No7, because I think they are pretty much just as good!

General moisturising & Eye cream:

Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturiser & Simple Soothing Eye Balm: I know it sounds a bit strange as I already moisturise with the day/night cream but I feel like this moisturiser goes into my skin more and just finishes it off for creams on my face! For the eye balm, it's just a gentle eye cream that reduces puffiness and keeps the area moisturised. I thought it was a bit strange of me having slightly dry under eyes (which it probably is) but this keeps the dryness away and seems to be a nice base for concealer, powder etc.

Face Masks:

Lush Oatifix Fresh Face Mask & Superdrug Superfruits Exfoliating Mask: I use the 'Oatifix' face mask for my dryness, as it was recommended for me by the assistant in Lush and it seems to act as a softener and does moisturise dry skin! The superdrug mask is new for me but I do really like it, it exfoliates your face more than gets rid of dryness but it doesn't make it dry either. I shall be buying a few more!

Body scrubs & shower/bath gels:

Lush 'Rub Rub Rub' Shower Scrub, Nivea Harmony Time Shower Cream & St. Ives Moisturising Olive Scrub: The Lush 'Rub Rub Rub' shower scrub is now my favourite, you can actually use it on your hair too! I know that sounds crazy, but it's almost as if the salt pieces melt into your hair. Anyway, back to skin! This smells super gorgeous, a fresh, zingy smell. This acts as an exfoliator and a softener. Honestly, this has so many purposes! Face scrub, shampoo, foot scrub, body scrub, body wash, bubble bath, the list is endless.
Nivea's 'harmony time shower cream' smells really rosy and soft. It makes your skin really soft and the smell lingers on your skin for ages, which is what I like because the smell is lovely.
St. Ives Moisturising Olive Scrub is something you don't need much of, it spreads around your body nicely! It does moisturise and creates a really fresh, soft olive smell. I love it to pieces, and is a really good price considering the tiny amount you need per time you use it!

So that is all of that over and done with! I have bought a couple of clothing pieces recently so I will try to do some OOTDs, even though they aren't the easiest to take pictures of! Speak to you all soon!

Bloglovin' & GFC

Hello everyone, so I don't usually post more than once a day but I've seen from many bloggers now that GFC is getting deleted! I actually feel angry, because I've finally started to get a good amount of followers. If this does happen, it's supposed to go on the 1st of July. I feel like it's going to kind of ruin a lot of people's success, because people who have built up a huge amount of followers over possibly years would lose all of them. I know I don't have as many as a lot of others but each and every one of my followers matter to me (cheesy but true) and I'm a bit afraid of losing all of you over a deleted button!

I thought I'd show you another way of following me, which is quite famous for us bloggers! I have just made a blog lovin', so follow me here!

Hopefully you see this and follow, email me if you have any questions or maybe to discuss 'swap follows' you could say, here is my email:

lizzielovesred98@hotmail.co.uk

I'm still up for button swaps, probably always will be to email me about that too! :)

Red Nose Day | Nail Tutorial!

Hello everyone, so it has come that TOMOROW is Red Nose Day! If you are unfamiliar with this fundraising day, basically (I think it's only the UK) attempts to raise loads of money for those in need in Africa and also the UK. We revolve loads of things around the colour red, and my school has decided to have a mufti day for red nose day, to raise some money! I thought I would do a nail tutorial showing you and telling you how I done my nails.

The colours you will need are:

A bright red (LA Colours 'moody red'), a white (Natural Collection 'white') & a black(Rimmel 60 seconds 'black out'.

The nail tools & Additional items you might want, are:

Base & top coat(OPI /Sally Hansen 'double duty'/Maybelline express finish), dotting tools and/or toothpicks. Gems are optional!

Starting off now, you are going to want to paint all except your accent nail red. Then, you use the white and paint your accent nail fully with this! Do as many coats as you need to make a full burst of colour.

On your accent nail, write 'RND'! That's what I've done here. When your doing this, go as slow as you need to.  I used thin dotting tools to do this, and I used black as the writing! I know it is not the neatest but I like it anyway. I put 2 gems on either side, because I felt like it was a bit plain without it.

On your thumb, dot down some diagonal dots. You can do them as big as you want, but I wanted to fit a few in there! It is optional, but you could add tiny red gems on some of the dots!

To finish, once everything is fully dry to the touch, add a good top coat to make it either matte or shiny and to keep in your design!

Thank you for reading everyone, I'm shocked that I have 24 followers! Thank you all so much, have a great evening and Happy Red Nose Day!

Blog Button Swap!

Hello my lovelies, my good friend Karina done this POST talking about button swapping on our blogs. She says how many people like to charge for having your button on their blog, but Karina had this great idea just to swap buttons!
Here is mine:
I love it a lot:)
So, the concept here is that we simply give a button for a button, and if you put my button on your blog, I'll do the same for you!
Here is my email, so you can either send me your picture or ask for the swap:)

lizzielovesred98@hotmail.co.uk

Feel free to send me emails also asking questions if you may be a little confused!

Collective Beauty Haul

Hello my lovelies, I went shopping today with my good friend Karina today and I went shopping previously on the half term. I've seemed to have bought mainly make up, I've pretty much spent all of my Christmas money but I guess that's what it's for, haha! To be honest, it doesn't look like very much but it feels like it, lol.

MAC Fix + Travel Size: First up is a cheeky buy from MAC, I wanted to try out the Fix + so I decided to get the mini. There is 30ML in this which isn't tons, but I probably will be buying the full size after I've finished! I will do a full review soon! This was £7.50!
Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in '120 Vanilla': I've already heard raves about this even though it's new! I ran out of my MAC Face&Body Foundation sample, and I needed something to even out my skin tone which is still sheer. I heard the purpose of this is exactly that so I picked this up from Boots for £8.99, but if you were thinking of buying this then get it from Superdrug because it's currently £6.99!

Rimmel London 'Apocalips' Lip Laquer in 'Nude Eclipse': I put this on my February wishlist and I'm happy I've got it. I will do my current favourite lip products. I love it to pieces! This was £6.99 from Superdrug.

LUSH 'Rub Rub Rub' Shower Scrub: I was SO excited to get this product! I wasn't planning on buying it at all but I got a demo from one of the assistants, and I immediately fell in love. It makes your skin super duper soft and moisturised and a bonus is that you can use this all of your body, so if you only wanted to have a face scrub you could do so, or your feet, etc. This is also a huge pot (330g) and it smells like sea salt and freshness, and apparentlyit smells just like the 'Sex Bomb' bath ballistic. The assistant also told me you can use this on your hair, which it would give it volume and texture!

Miss Sporty Dr Balm 'Glam Kiss SOS' in '02': There isn't much to say about this, it's basically a super sheer balm with a tiny bit of colour. It looks like a really bright pink but as I've said it only comes out with a little bit of colour! This was £1.99.
And for the fashion side, I bought this one knit jumper from Primark! This was on sale from £14.50 down to £5! I think this is a really cute original jumper and was definately worth the buy. It's a cross stitch knit with a studded golden eagle on it!

Thank you for reading, what was your favourite item?

February Favourites

Hello everyone, it's finally March and it felt like February went on forever! I've noticed that I've used more & different products and tried new things, so here are my faves!
I'm sorry the lighting isn't the best, I've experimented a lot with set ups but it seems to be the best place on my windowsill!

So...? In Love: I genuinely use this every day, but it's just been my favourite scent. It honestly is so sweet- it smells like candy floss & strawberries! I love this so much and constantly buy more. The perfume of this is awesome too!

No7 Intense Volume Mascara: I've mentioned this mascara and done a comparison video HERE and said that I do prefer this over my Revlon one, it's just now a daily thing to just pick it up without fail. It doesn't clump AT ALL and makes your lashes look so long and voluminous!
Maybelline Master Shape brow pencil in 'Dark Blonde': I haven't been able to fine a fair coloured brow pencil or shadow yet, it's been hard finding one but this seems to be good at darkening and filling my brows in. My own look a bit 'spacey' and aren't very full and are light!

MAC Sheertone Blush in 'Peaches': I bought this at the start of February and have used it daily without fail. It's such a nice glowy colour and it looks great on my skin tone. When I wear it I feel a bit better! Sounds strange haha, but it really just looks beautiful!

Rimmel London Lyrcra PRO Nail Polish in 'Peppermint': I have realized that every time I've painted my nails, it seems to be this each time! It's a really cute light green, it dries quite quickly and it a really nice colour to have cool nail art on top of.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 'Fair 1': I bought this in early January and haven't stopped using this! I haven't mentioned it on my blog either, and I just think it covers pretty much all of my dark circles! It is a tiny bit light but it's not a problem! It's great coverage and I just love it!
Johnsons Baby Shampoo: I have been washing my make up brushes on more of a regular pattern recently, more like every week with my most used brushes, and everyone recommends using this so I decided to give it a try! It smells like HEAVEN and it's not that expensive. It cleans your brushes gently which is fab, because it's not good to have fallout!

Thank you for reading, comment for questions!
