Quick School Makeup!

Hello lovely readers! I've been thinking of different posts and this was one in mind.

As am I and probably many other people in the mornings, the time seems to go pretty quick. Although it's not a full face of smoky eye shadow, liner, contour, and all that jazz, that's not what you need for school! I will probably do a quickie make up tutorial for full on everything but for now, it's just school.

Face:
This here shows these products:
Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer & Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder.
Brushes:
Real Techniques Buffing Brush.

I use the buffing brush for everything, it works for foundation and blends super quick with no streaks whatsoever. The Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation is generally a good foundation, it feels really nice and light but covers up things like redness and little imperfections. It's not full coverage but isn't like a tinted moisturiser. I sweep the buffing brush lightly over my concealer as I use my fingers to apply it and it leaves it flawless! With powder, you can press it into your skin so it actually stays for much longer and it stays matte the entire day! These are all products I recommend in general but they do the job amazingly and pretty quickly, too!

Eyes:
This picture shows:
Maybelline Great Lash Mascara(Waterproof), No7 Intense Volume mascara (alternative), Rimmel London Exaggerate Waterproof Liquid Liner & Primark eyelash curlers.

I use my eyelash curlers for about 5 seconds, then just apply either mascara. It depends what day it is, if it is swimming later that day, I use waterproof & vice versa! I only like to do 1 coat, because I don't feel like I need any more + it doesn't make any kind of difference. I occasionally use either gel/liquid liner along my lash line for a super duper thin line do it's not too visible but it gives loads of volume to your lashes!

Lips:
This picture shows:
Carmex original, Softlips balm, Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in 'Nude Eclipse' & NYC Smooch proof stain in 'Orange on The Go'.

I never do anything special for my lips because if I do it tends to be quite obvious for my skin tone, so these are both fairly natural shades(the orange stain is quite sheer). I do like both of these products not only for school, but also aren't something you have to perfect and have to be super precise with!

Brows:
This picture shows:
Maybelline Mastershape Brow Pencil in 'Dark Blonde' & MUA Clear Mascara.

Brows are important, and I've found the brow pencil the best shade for me! I have light hair so it's sometimes quite hard to find a good brow pencil. The clear mascara is just an alternative if you don't have brow gel!
I like to finish off and keep my make up in for the day/refresh my face with Mac Fix +.

Thank you for reading, I hope this helps people!

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara | Review w/ Pictures

Hello readers! Here is a review on the Maybelline 'Great Lash' mascara, with pictures before & after!

First off, packaging & about the brush:
The packaging is actually pretty light, it is a small tube and the same with the brush. I like the pink & green too. I'm not going to blab on but I got this in waterproof & the colour 'Very Black'

Here are my lashes before:

I did not curl my lashes before, just so you can see how it works without any tools.

Applying the mascara, you can see how small the wand is:
*scary eyes*
Now for after I've applied one coat!:
I like the way it doesn't make your lashes clumpy really, I mean it's not like it makes them look like false lashes and super fluttery but they do give a 'great lash' effect. They leave them really voluminous, maybe not so much on the lengthening side, but it does make them look big. From further away they look a bit shorter (well obviously Lizzie duhh) but I'm not too phased by it.
I also like the way that when I use this on my lower lashes, they don't look like spiders legs, really creepy and weird, they even out the lengths of each & also the darkness of each. Speaking of the 'ultra black'ness, it's really nice how I don't have to do more than one coat of it because it's not sheer, even though it's waterproof!
The water protecting side of this mascara is actually better than I thought it would be. I know it's probably not the best idea but I do leave my mascara on when I'm at swimming, and I've found it does not leave me with panda eyes! I don't exactly look like I've just applied it, it's faded a fair bit by the end of the session but it's still there!
The curl it leaves, without any eyelash curler, is brill! I thought I might have needed to but I really don't. This mascara is very versatile and ticks many boxes for me!

I like it very much, and for the cheapest mascara in Maybelline, you can't go wrong!

I hope you liked this post:)

Simple Moisture Boost Hydro Mist | Review

Hello everyone! As I said in my previous post, I'm doing a review on this face spray.

The concept of this facial spray is to have a refresh your face with a small boost of moisture. I thought (I know it's a bit early) this could be great in the summer time, because I know that I can feel really icky when it's too hot on holiday or what not, and this sounded like it would suit that.

The smell of this is like a lotus flower (it says that on the bottle so I'm going to go with that haha) and you can smell it whilst your spraying it but once it's on your face for a few seconds it pretty much gone, so if your not fond of the scent then don't let it bug you! It's not there for long!

I really like the way it refreshes you, it sounds strange but it just calms you down, I've used this during rushy moments and it just feels nice, also does give you a tiny bit of moisture but nothing that you could really notice very much.

I think the price of it is O.K, £5.99 is the higher end of the Simple range of products, but I do think it's worth it for the sort of things I use it for (hot days, rushy moments etc.) because it calms me down!

I think it's the sort of product you'd have to try to understand what I'm talking about, but that's pretty much all this product is. I reckon this is similar to the refreshing side of MAC Fix + but I do prefer the scent of Fix +, it's a bit better, but this is still brill!

For those days out in the summer I do recommend this! I think I will be using this a lot on holiday.

Bye for now:)

Collective Beauty Haul

Hello everyone! I haven't been blogging like I normally do because I'm just simply busy. I'm still here though, so keep following!;) Today I'm showing you some beauty products I've collected up from different shopping trips.

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara, Waterproof: I remember that this came out absolutely ages ago, and there was kind of a mixed view on it, but I thought that I'd give it a go. This is I think the cheapest mascara in the Maybelline range, £4.99, and so far so good. I've tried it out and love it already, but I'll do a full review with pictures!

Simple Moisture Boost Hydro Mist: I had a voucher that had an extra 100 points if I spend £8 or more on women's facial skincare, and my mum wanted a cream, so this was what I chose. After looking at what it does and testing it for a while, I'm thinking this could be a dupe for the MAC Fix +? The 'refreshing' side of it anyway. I will probably do a post on that, too!

Batiste Dry Shampoo in 'Big & Bouncy XXL Volume': I'm really not going to talk about this, everyone knows what this is already so lalalalalalalaaaaa

Boots Natural Collection Passionfruit Body Spray: I've just about ran out of my strawberry one of this(so many oooo's), and I smelt this and thought it's very fresh and light, something nice for summertime.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 'Fair 1': I bought one of these bad boys in the start of January, LOVED it and now I'm running quite low so it's just a re-purchase:)

Rimmel I ❤ Lasting Finish Nail Polish in '704 Sweet As Sugar': It's a lovely colour and Boots is currently 3 for 2, not much else to say than this is a cool colour for spring/summer!
Barry M Nail Paint in 'Matt White': I was in the mood for french mani, so I bought this as a new plain white, because most of my others have gotten fairly gloopy.
Maybelline Colour Show Nail Polish in 'Peach Pie': Again, this was for my mood of french mani! This is the perfect 'nail' colour for me, it's fairly sheer too.

Rimmel London Exaggerate Waterproof Liquid Liner in '003 Blackest Black': I haven't ever actually bought a fairly priced good liquid liner, if that makes sense, but I thought as a random buy I'd get this. The colour pay off is also seriously good for waterproof!
Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner in 'Black': In the liner mood, I bought this because of the talk it had been getting here on blogger and also, I like the look of felt tip liners!

That's the collective haul! I will try to do some more fashion related posts, I haven't done one in so long!
